What does SERPS mean?

SERPS is a commonly used term that you may have heard of before. The term itself stands for (S)earch (E)ngine (R)esults (P)age(s). In short, it means the web page results that are shown or displayed upon completion of search engine query or submission. For instance, if you type in "ace-host" into the Google search engine, you'll see http://www.ace-host.net is #1 in the SERPS. For obvious reasons, you always want your website to be in top position in the SERPS for the keywords you're targeting. This way, you can get as much quality traffic as possible. After all, having website traffic is one of the most important components in having a successful website. This should not be confused with Google Page Rank or anything else. The two are entirely different and can have different results.
